Telangana Population 2021 : Telangana is a state in India situated on the center-south stretch of the Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. It is the twelfth largest state and the twelfth most populated state in India with a geographical area of 112,077/ sq km.Telangana Population 2021

It is bordered by the states of Maharashtra to the north, Chhattisgarh and Odisha to the northeast, Andhra Pradesh to the southeast and south, and Karnataka to the west.

On 2 June 2014, the area was separated from the northwestern part of Andhra Pradesh as the newly formed 29th state (At Presents 28 States in India). The Telangana region was part of the Hyderabad state from Sept 17th, 1948 to Nov 1st, 1956, until it was merged with Andhra State to form the Andhra Pradesh state.

The region is drained by two major rivers, with about 79% of the Godavari River catchment area and about 69% of the Krishna River catchment area, but most of the land is arid.

Andhra Pradesh’s longtime capital, Hyderabad, was transferred to Telangana as part of the division. However, in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, Hyderabad will remain the de jure capital of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states for a period of time not exceeding 10 years. After that period Hyderabad shall be the capital of the state of Telangana and there shall be a new capital for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana official Languages 2021

Almost 80% of the Telangana population have their mother tongue as Telugu. 10–11% with Urdu and rest 10% other minority languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and English, etc. Urdu is mainly concentrated in Hyderabad (especially in and around areas of Old City).
